What is for supper?

If you want to pitch in and lighten the load for a caregiver, offer to bring over a meal. Surely, many of you are natural and nurturing cooks. I’m not and it looks like I never will be since I haven’t gotten the knack yet, at age 60. Sis is a good cook, but it was hard to find the time and energy after a full day of work.

Holiday Menu Planning Tips for Caregivers to Elderly

Last year, I tried to plan ahead for an upcoming holiday. I wanted to prepare a festive meal like my mother used to prepare for our family when I was a child. Just as quickly as I’d thought of baking a ham, I’d dismissed the thought. Much as I would have enjoyed baking a ham and serving it to Mom, I would not have enjoyed watching my mother play with a slice of ham on her plate.
